July 2021 is the 50th anniversary of the author's first paying computer job. This is a reflection of 50 years of computer advances. It is a story told from one person's perspective and the story might be an interesting story to tell future generations since it spans a significant period in computer history. Sort of a front row seat on the computer revolution. This story is focuses on what the author was involved in and is not an attempt to write a history of all that was happening in computers during that time. This history is mainly for the family and possibly for future generations who might be curious about some of the things that are described. It is as non-technical as a technical history can be but some readers might want at least some of the more technical details so they are included in an Addendum. |
